Manual Changes: IOM and RVSM

At Baldwin, we work hard to ensure our manuals are up to date and recently had the opportunity to comb through our International Operations and RVSM manual. As a result, we have made many changes/additions.

If you are a client on the International Operations and RVSM Manual template, the changes will be annotated with green highlighting in the manual interface. Please review all the changes prior to publishing your next revision.

We also added a few new items in the International Operations and RVSM Manual:

  • RNP-2 Airspace

  • RNP-1 Airspace

  • LRNS Preflight

  • Manual Entry of Waypoints

  • North American Routes (NAR)

  • Updated Oceanic Checklist

Please have a look at where these were placed in your manual (as client manual structures may be different than the template) and let us know if you need anything adjusted. Thank you all so much for being part of the Baldwin family!

NOTE: Changes above were based on the following documents:

  • AC 20-138D: Airworthiness Approval of Positioning and Navigation Systems

  • AC 90-105A: Approval Guidance for RNP Operations and Barometric Vertical Navigation in the U.S. National Airspace System and in Oceanic and Remote Continental Airspace

  • AC 91-70B: Oceanic and Remote Continental Airspace Operations

  • AC 91-85B: Authorization of Aircraft an Operators for Flight in Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) Airspace

  • NAT Doc 007: North Atlantic Operations and Airspace Manual

  • NAT Ops Bulletin 2019-001: Operations Without an Assigned Fixed Speed in the NAT (OWAFS) Special Emphasis Items (SEI)

  • NAT Ops Bulletin 2019-002: Trial Implementation of ASEPS (Lateral) using ADS-B
