How We Promote Aviation

Scholarships at Universities, mentoring Boys and Girls Club members who are passionate about aviation, sponsorships at various aviation related events, and a privately funded Scholarship fund in honor of Donald A. Baldwin are just a few of the ways  we help people who want to become a part of our aviation community.

The Donald A. Baldwin scholarship, which is given annually in coordination with the family of Donald A. Baldwin Sr., promotes professional development in business aviation by providing financial support for qualified CAM exam candidates.

The scholarship is named for Donald A. Baldwin Sr., an accomplished general aviation pilot who served on NBAA's Board of Directors from 1968 to 1971. In his lifetime, he was recognized for his contributions to business aviation with the NBAA John P. "Jack" Doswell Award and the Flight Safety Foundation Business Aviation Meritorious Service Award.

NBAA's CAM program identifies qualified professionals to lead flight departments and companies that use business aircraft. The CAM exam is provided several times per year in a computer-based testing format. To be eligible for the exam, participants must have been pre-qualified and approved through a formal application process. For more information about the CAM program, visit www.nbaa.org/cam.
